Dear Bronx Science families,
Who is the one person who is most aware of what Bronx Science students are thinking and feeling? We believe it might be Mr. Andrew Nasser, head of the Guidance/College Office at school. During a typical week, he spends most of his time listening to students and helping them out. He’s always eager to speak with parents as well.
That’s why we’re thrilled that Mr. Nasser will be at our next PA meeting. He’ll be moderating a panel discussion on issues affecting BxSci students, with a focus on the following topics: technology/gaming, lack of sleep, drugs and alcohol, parent-child communication, and student stress. The panelists will be four experts from Columbia University and New York Presbyterian Hospital; click here to read their bios.
It’s sure to be a highly informative and insightful discussion. Parents will of course be able to ask questions during the session as well. So don’t miss our PA meeting this Thursday, March 15, at 7pm. (You’ll also be able to pick up free test-prep books at our Book Swap!) If you’d like to take the Vallo bus from Manhattan or Queens, don’t forget to call 1-718-961-7600 to reserve your bus seat.
