All meetings are held in person at the school at 7:00pm, unless indicated otherwise. When applicable, remote meeting details will be provided in the PA Sunday e-newsletter prior to each meeting

4/17/24	How to Have Difficult Conversations with Teens: Hear from a panel of experts – our students – regarding communicating with your teen. Moderated by Assistant Principal Andrew Nasser.
5/15/24	PA and SLT Elections, plus hear how our school did this year during a State of the School Report from Principal Rachel Hoyle and AP Andrew Nasser. This is a REMOTE ONLY meeting and election. Registration is required.
6/12/24	College Life A panel of recent graduates shares their experiences in college, and how Bronx Science prepared them for higher education and what surprised them most about post-high school life.

9/20/23	Meet our Principal, AP of Guidance and PA Leaders. Following introductions, meaningful breakout sessions by grade. 9th: Transitioning to high school and how to make the most out of your BxSci experience. 10th: What to expect and how to navigate sophomore year including PSAT, AP and honors courses; how to get involved in new clubs this year. 11th: Starting the college application prep list, understanding Jupiter and Naviance and more! 12th: College applications and deadlines, how parents can help their students cope with stress, and more! This is a hybrid meeting, but in-person attendance is highly encouraged!
10/18/23	PA and SLT elections. Following the election, a special presentation for parents with tips on how to help our students kickstart the year with better time management, organization and study skills! This is a REMOTE ONLY meeting and election. Registration is required.
11/15/23	What You Should Know About College Admissions. Adam Ingersoll of Compass Education will present the latest information about college admissions in a rapidly changing environment. For parents and guardians unable to join in person, please use this Zoom link. This is a hybrid meeting, but in-person attendance is highly encouraged!
12/13/23	A PA Meeting and Holiday Celebration! Join us for pre-meeting festivities at 6 PM! Grab a bite, and buy some holiday BxSci swag. The special presentation will be a panel of BxSci Students, who will discuss how the Guidance Dept helps them and the resources available. Moderated by AP Andrew Nasser. UPDATE AS OF 12/5: DUE TO STAFFING ISSUES, THE DECEMBER 13 PA MEETING WILL NOT HAVE A REMOTE OPTION. PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE PANEL AND PARTY IN PERSON. Please RSVP here so we can get a headcount for refreshments.
1/17/24	Teens and Mental Health A panel of outside professionals will discuss how to help you and your child address concerns they may have this school year. Moderated by AP Andrew Nasser. Find panelists' bios here. This is an in-person meeting only!
2/13/24	Course Selection (grades 9 through 11) Hear from AP Dr. Allison Davis and AP Andrew Nasser about how to construct a 4-year course plan. Dr. Davis will also discuss the research program course track. Plus, for senior families: Things I Wish I Knew Before My Kid Went to College. Parents/guardians of recent graduates will share their experiences. Remote only! Please follow this zoom link to attend.
