In July, Bronx Science alumni and parents from the PA Educational Enrichment Committee provided an incredible summer learning opportunity for nearly 800 of our students. Bronx Science U offered a series of 36 advanced online courses spanning eight academic disciplines.
Here is just one of the testimonials from Angelena Bougiamas ’22 “Constitutional Law focused on how the history of the United States shaped our justice system and has helped contextualize our current state of affairs domestically. I’ve learned about the immense influence the Supreme Court had with rulings in the past, and in turn I’ve gained a better understanding of the significance of rulings made today. More importantly, this course has emphasized the significance of seeking to understand every perspective, regardless of the perceived credibility, or lack thereof, of an individual. Mr. Jonathan Freedman ’74 and Josh Zakharov ’16 encouraged us to think critically and consistently question the opinion of justices. As a result, I gained a more dynamic view of the judicial branch of our government and a better understanding of the idea that progress is not possible if what is unjust isn’t consistently challenged in our justice system.”
