Dear Bronx Science Families,
As our children hunker down and prepare for Midterm exams, there are many issues for parents to be involved in. At last week’s Breakfast with the Principal, Dr. Donahue and the APs delivered a comprehensive presentation on Course Selection for the 2015-16 school year. It is invaluable to 9th, 10th, and 11th grade parents. Do not despair if you missed it. At our February 11th monthly PA meeting, they will be there to present all the pertinent information once again. Make sure to join us and hear about both the course selection process and all the wonderful academic opportunities available to our children. Senior parents, we haven’t forgotten you!! A group of alumni parents will also be on hand to share many of the experiences they’ve encountered when students finally went off to college, e.g., handling money, new found freedoms, etc. You won’t want to miss this very informative meeting.
SAVE THE DATE!! Our Annual Auction will take place on Thursday, April 30th at the Landmark on the Park, at 76th Street and Central Park West. Make sure to put it on your calendar now. There will be much more information to follow in the weeks to come. If you are interested in volunteering (and we need plenty of them), there will be an initial planning meeting this coming Friday, January 30th, please email us at president@bxsciencepa.org if you would like to attend . If you can’t make but want to volunteer, go on the PA website to let us know. The more the merrier! The Auction is our single biggest fund raiser of the year and we hope you can be a part of it.
