The following is from an email from Dr. Donahue emailed to our Bronx Science community on April 8:
Dear Bronx Science Family,
I am writing to share holiday greetings, the attached Chancellor’s letters (below), and how the upcoming week and a half of school will look for our students.
Remote learning will continue for our students April 9-17, although it will look different than it has up until now. The workload will be considerably lighter, with no more than one graded regular classwork or homework assignment per class. Teachers may also include a variety of optional enrichment activities related to their subjects or provided by the DOE. Students should engage in these activities as they wish; there are no penalties for them not doing so. Please note that if a student will be absent, for religious reasons or otherwise, parents should send an absence note, and all students who are present must sign into the attendance sheet daily.
To those of you who are celebrating, I wish you a Happy Passover and Happy Easter. To all of you, I wish you good health and peace.
Be well,
Jean
