Marcia is a mother of three. She has a Bronx Science senior, a freshman at Francis Lewis High School, and an adult daughter — as well as two grandchildren! Her family lives in what she calls “an oasis” in Forest Hills Gardens, Queens. She also volunteers locally, serving on the boards of The Reform Temple of Forest Hills and Child Help Partnership of St. John’s University. In her free time, she enjoys eating out, exercising, reading, hiking, and traveling.
Here’s what she says about volunteering at Bronx Science: “I love working on the Spring Auction every year with such an amazing team of parent volunteers! They’re dedicated, smart, fun-loving, and true team players! I really enjoy planning and promoting the auctions, and I especially like celebrating at the event. Plus, I get so much more in return: the satisfaction of knowing I help make a significant contribution to our children’s education and the friendship of fellow parents who are always there to share their experiences and advice every step of the way. I am so grateful to have been a part of the Bronx Science community and encourage every parent to volunteer — even just once — to find your place in it, too!”
