The October PA meeting and fall election are upon us! This is an opportunity for incoming parents and guardians to run for reserved positions on the PA Executive Board and the School Leadership Team (SLT). Thanks to all the nominees who have stepped forward to share their diverse talents – you truly help the PA serve our school community. We encourage all parents to attend this election and make sure your voice is heard.
This PA meeting will be held virtually Wednesday, Oct 19 at 7 PM. Since we are conducting an election, registration is required. Please register here by 12 noon on Wednesday, Oct 19. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link via email. Please note there is no in-person option for this meeting.

Following the election, we will hear from AP Andrew Nasser, who will discuss some of the key topics on students’ minds this school year. This segues nicely into our November PA discussion, which will feature a panel of outside professionals who will advise how to address some of our students’ concerns (please see post below for the remaining 2022-23 lineup of PA meeting speakers and topics).
Your PA Dollars At Work
Funded in part by PA donations, Bronx Science athletic and academic teams, as well as clubs and student events, are off and running! One recent event was the Student Organization’s annual Fresh and Fringle freshman social. It is one of many ways the PA supports our students to make their high school experience as memorable as possible.

Reminders for Upcoming Events
Coffee With The Principal. Registration for this event has closed. For registered participants, a reminder that this meeting will be held at the school on Thursday, October 20 from 8:30-9:30 AM. Please submit questions in advance for the Safety Committee by Tuesday, October 18 at 9:00 AM here. This event will not be recorded, but presentation slides will be available after the meeting.

Comedy Night. Support our school through laughter! We are thrilled to welcome former Bronx Science parent and comedian, Zarna Garg, and her friends back for another fun-filled evening on October 27. We invite you to join us! Buy your tickets here for this event. Buy a ticket for a teacher too!
Fall 2022 Open House. We invite all parents and guardians to come and share their experience with middle school families who are going through the high school admissions process. We need many volunteers for this event, and we look forward to the broad participation from our community. No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm!
