On Monday night, the Community and Citywide Education Councils (CCECs) hosted an informative session on applying to run for a position on the CCEC. Community Education Councils are volunteer parents and community leaders dedicated to supporting local schools to improve student achievement. Citywide Education Councils are volunteer parents and community leaders who are responsible for advising and commenting on NYCPS education practices that concern specific populations of students, such as High School students and English Language Learners.
