Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,
The PA had a busy week supporting a large merchandise event on Alumni Day, a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, an Open House for prospective students and a breakfast and merchandise sale for our incoming freshmen parents and guardians during Camp Science! It was a huge undertaking to participate in so many events in such a short time span and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our parent/guardian volunteers. Please see the In The Spotlight post for a special thank you to our volunteers and photos from recent events, including images of many of our volunteers!
And please note that we aren’t finished with events yet! There are still a few open volunteer slots available for tomorrow’s Senior Awards Ceremony. If you are a 9th – 11th grade parent, please click on this link Senior Awards Ceremony, if you are able to join us to support and celebrate our senior parents!
This has already been a busy month for our students, packed with concerts, awards, performances and festivities! The PA is happy to support these events, and we hope many of you attended some of the magnificent performances. Thank you all for your contributions this year which helped our students in countless, marvelous ways.
Looking ahead, a reminder that our last PA meeting of the school year is in person at the school this Wednesday, June 12 at 7 PM. We will be joined by a panel of BxSci graduates, moderated by AP Andrew Nasser. These graduates will share their college experiences, how Bronx Science prepared them, and much more. It is not too late to submit your questions HERE. We would love to see many of you for our final chance to gather at the school this year, and to show our recent graduates our support.
Minutes from our May meeting will be voted on during this meeting and can be found HERE. The agenda can be found HERE. We will also be voting on the 2024-25 PA budget, which was presented last month. This will be an in person meeting.
We are pleased to share that our annual outdoor social event will be held on June 22 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 PM at Ellington in the Park. This event is open to all of our current Bronx Science parents/guardians and senior families in particular are encouraged to bring any visiting family in town for graduation which will be held a few days later! This will be our last chance to gather before we break for the summer. Please see below for more details.
June is a celebratory month and we are excited for all of our students and families who will be graduating this month. We also celebrate Pride month in June and wish all celebrants well!
