Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,

Congratulations on a Spring Gala to remember!
It was energizing to see our community celebrating and dancing the night away while raising funds for our school with celebrity auctioneer Lonnie Quinn of WCBS-TV at the helm once again. The PA would like to thank Bronx Science parent Nami Fujita for her endless hours of graphic designing, and whose artwork showcased the event beyond the stars! We would also like to thank Bronx Science parents Alyssa and Tony Cheng, and their They Might Be Parents bandmates for providing gala guests with a festive night full of incredible live music. Please see In the Music Spotlight post below. As an extra treat, guests enjoyed a beautiful assortment of desserts, compliments of parent Navah Frost and our National Honor Society (NHS) students, led by NHS advisor Paul DeSilva. A special acknowledgement to unstoppable committee member May Yee, for her sixth and last year of unparalleled gala service.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering dedication and many months of planning from our stellar Co-Chairs, Shirah Wercberger and Gabrielle Koelbel and the entire Gala Committee Team. These parents are a true force of nature, and we thank them for their service to all our families and the school. There are many more people we want to thank! Please see the In the Spotlight post below for recognition of the entire team and join us in another round of applause for these amazing folks!

Finally, thanks to all of YOU, our BxSci community, who supported this event in many ways: buying tickets, bidding, raising paddles, donating items and wine, making connections, helping at the event and more. Your collective effort and generosity raised over $170,000 for our students and additional capital projects! Please enjoy some highlights from the event below.

Join us this week for our next virtual PA meeting on Wednesday, May 17, at 7:00 PM. This meeting will feature our PA Executive Board and SLT election, preliminary 2023-24 PA budget presentation, and a State of the School Address by Principal Rachel Hoyle and AP Andrew Nasser.
Candidate bios for the uncontested slate can be found here. April meeting minutes will be voted on and can be found here.

IMPORTANT: Due to our elections, you must register here in advance to attend. A meeting link will be sent in a separate email upon registration. For record-keeping purposes, only the election portion of the meeting will be recorded.
