Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,
The start of school means the entire Bronx Science community – students, teachers, administrators, and parents – have been hard at work. But we are also cherishing the moments we’ve had to celebrate. First, we hope all of you who observe Diwali had a wonderful celebration of lights.
As a PA, we all enjoyed the chance to unwind and laugh together this past Thursday for our 6th Bronx Science Comedy Night. We would like to thank everyone who joined us to hear award-winning comedian and former Bronx Science parent Zarna Garg and fellow comedian Brian Scott McFadden, who provided us with many hilarious and memorable moments to share with one another. Your participation in these events helps raise needed funds to support the broad range of programs and resources for our students. Thank you!
Through PA-funded events, our students have also had opportunities to take breaks from their busy schedules. These range from Bronxtoberfest, to the World Language Door Decoration Contest, and the upcoming Halloween Monster Mash/Haunted House. These are just a few examples of events created and enjoyed by our students to unwind between studies. Be on the lookout for more scenes from some of these events in next week’s e-newsletter.
Now, onto more upcoming events…
Upcoming Events
Our featured event for this week is the Fall 2022 Open House. We are thrilled that in-person tours have resumed allowing us to showcase Bronx Science to middle school families currently navigating the high school admissions process. Our Bronx Science students do an incredible job presenting the vast selection of academic and athletic teams and clubs, and their commitment and eagerness are infectious. Their genuine, enthusiastic participation is a warm welcome for prospective students and their families.
Thanks in advance to all parent volunteers who’ve already signed up to help during the open house. We still have spots available if you are able to join us. No experience necessary- just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to share your own experience!
Open House Event Details: Tuesday, November 1 from 4:30-7:30 PM. Click here to sign up!

Our next PA meeting is just two weeks away! Please mark your calendars for our November 15 PA meeting. More details to follow. For a list of PA meeting dates and topics, please visit our PA website here.
Lots of tireless effort is required of our entire community to provide the programs our students deserve, and we are fortunate to have such support from our broad community. If you can volunteer for one of our upcoming events, we’ll be excited to have you. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next PA meeting and a number of you at this week’s Open House.
Sincerely,
