We are pleased to announce the remaining PA meeting dates for the 2021-22 school year with tentative topics:
October 19th – SLT & PA Elections, plus How to Make the Most of Bronx Science. Hear from experienced students about how your student can take advantage of all that Bronx Science has to offer. Moderated by AP Andrew Nasser.
November 16th – Teenage Angstland. A panel of experts will cover topics such as healthy sleep, social media and substance abuse. Moderated by AP Andrew Nasser.
December 15th – TBA
January 19th – What You Should Know About College Admissions. Adam Ingersoll of Compass Education will present the latest information about college admissions in a rapidly changing environment.
February 16th – Course Selection (grades 9 through 11). Hear from AP Allison Davis about how to construct a 4-year course plan. Plus, for senior families, Things I Wish I Knew Before My Kid Went to College. Parents/guardians of recent graduates will share their experiences.
March 23rd – How to Have Difficult Conversations with Teens. Hear from a panel of experts – our students – regarding communicating with your teen. Moderated by AP Andrew Nasser
April 27th – TBA
May 18th – SLT & PA Elections, plus State of the School Report. Hear a presentation from Principal Rachel Hoyle and AP Andrew Nasser.
June 15th – The Real College Students of Bronx Science. A panel of recent graduates shares their experiences in college, and how Bronx Science prepared them for higher education and what surprised them most about post-high school life. Please see an important safety advisory below.
