Bronx High School of Science Parents' Assocation

News from our Co-Presidents: January 31, 2021

Dear Fellow Parents & Guardians:

PA Wellness Walks have begun. Thank you to parent Alison Gardy who organized the first walk in Manhattan. See below for details about other walks planned for the Bronx and Queens starting next Saturday. These walks are a great way to meet other Bronx Science parents and to get out from behind your screens.

Bronx Science students participating in Clash of the Colors last Friday. The PA was pleased to provide support to this wonderful community-building event.

Our next PA meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 10th at 7:00pm. The topic, Course Selection (presented by Assistant Principals Allison Davis and Andrew Nasser), is always of keen interest to our parent community, particularly grades 9-11. At this same meeting, we will have a breakout room with a panel of parents of recently graduated students. The theme of that discussion will be Things I Wish I Knew Before My Kid Went to College. More details to follow.

Looking further ahead, our next Book Club meeting will be on Thursday, February 25th at 7:00pm when we discuss The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan. Start reading now. To RSVP for next month’s meeting, or if you have questions or concerns, contact BxSciPABookClub@gmail.com

Finally, we now have a date for our next Comedy Night. Thursday, March 4th at 7:00pm please join Bronx Science parent and comedian Zarna Garg and friends for an evening of adults only entertainment. Stay safe Bronx Science.
