Dear Bronx Science Families:
As we continue to prepare for the new school year, let’s not dismiss our anxieties, but let’s also not let them get the best of us. Now is a good time to try to focus on everything we have to look forward to… new friendships, rewarding opportunities, and broader understandings of our communities, our children and ourselves.
We will bid a fond farewell to one school leader and welcome a new one. We will offer a warm Bronx Science embrace of the Class of 2024 and help make the Class of 2021’s final year of high school one for the ages.
When school starts again, let’s acknowledge that not everything will be perfect. But let’s also resolve, individually and collectively, to give our teachers, faculty and staff the resources and the space they need to help our kids succeed.
We know there are no magic remedies to restore a true sense of normalcy, but we will leverage the things we can control to help the school deliver a genuine Bronx Science education to our children. How can we help achieve that? It starts with all of us… Advocate, donate, engage, volunteer.
Finally, we all make difficult choices that we believe and hope to be right for our own families. As a school community, we must respect those choices. None of us should ever be made to feel that we need to justify those choices to anyone else. Remote or blended, we are all a part of the Wolverine family.
