Dear Bronx Science Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! Welcome to December, where it is hard to believe there are only two weeks left of school in 2019.
This month, we are shaking things up at bit to provide an awesome night of resources for parents on December 10th. Bring some non-perishable food, and/or a gently used coat for the Bronx Science Food and Coat Drive with you, and come to school! Please note the timing; the evening is scheduled differently than usual. Starting at 5:30, the school library will be open for Mr. Nasser’s Resource Fair where you can meet people who provide services you want for your teen and family. Then, join us in the auditorium at 7:30 for a presentation by Adam Ingersoll on navigating college admissions testing; Adam is generously donating copies of his book, and a free consultation, see below for details.
At the end of the PA meeting, we will draw the winning ticket for this fall’s MacBook Air raffle, sponsored by the BxSci Auction Team. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets – all together we raised $5,000 for our school! The winner need not be present to claim the MacBook Air, but we would love to see you all there for the big reveal.
The Season of Giving is off to an enormous start with a very successful Giving Tuesday campaign. Thank you to everyone who made a donation to the Bronx Science PA! On that day alone, BxSci families donated just over $21,000 to the PA either online or via mobile phone. Many critical programs at Bronx Science could not exist without PA funding, so once again, thank you!
See you Tuesday evening!
