These are the last volunteer opportunities of the year (and they’re fun ones), so if you haven’t yet had a chance to help out at Bronx Science, now’s the time.
June 3, Sunday: Alumni Day
About 1,000 former BxSci students will be coming to visit on this special day. Hosted by the Alumni Foundation, this event will bring together BxSci alumni of all ages. They’ll spend the day reminiscing with old friends, attending a series of talks given by accomplished alumni, and interacting with current BxSci students. The PA will be selling merchandise, and we need parents to help sell! Please sign up here.
June 4, Monday: Senior Awards
If you are a parent of a 9th, 10th, or 11th grader, please consider helping out at this event. Some seniors will be receiving awards, and their families are invited to a ceremony in the auditorium and a reception in the gym. Parent volunteers are needed to set up and serve light refreshments. Please sign up here.
June 7, Thursday: Incoming Parents’ Breakfast
Eighth graders who will be BxSci freshmen in the fall will be coming to school the morning of June 7th to take placement tests and get their ID photo taken. The PA will be hosting an informal meet-and-greet for their parents in the cafeteria. We need many volunteers to help serve breakfast, chat with incoming parents, and sell merchandise. Please sign up here.
