Some of you may have already had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Andrew Nasser, head of the BxSci Guidance/College Office. (His actual title is a mouthful: Assistant Principal of Pupil Personnel Services.) Mr. Nasser is constantly thinking of ways to be helpful to BxSci students and parents. One of his initiatives is a parent event coming up on Monday, November 13.
That day, the Bronx Science Guidance Department (with the PA’s support) will be hosting the Second Annual Resource Fair for Parents, from 5:30-7:00pm, right before the PA meeting. Representatives from teen-oriented organizations and companies will provide materials and information, and will be available to engage one-on-one with interested parents. Exhibitors at the Resource Fair will include tutoring and test-prep companies, therapists and other medical professionals, financial aid advisors, organizations offering internships and employment opportunities within NYC, and more.
The Resource Fair will be held at the Bronx Science Library. Come to the Resource Fair, enjoy some refreshments, then attend the PA meeting and listen to Sean Grover share professional, practical insights on raising teenagers.
