Bronx High School of Science Parents' Assocation

Message from our Co-Presidents – November 5, 2017

November 5, 2017

Dear Bronx Science parents,

We hope you enjoyed an extra hour of sleep or relaxation this morning! Remember to turn back your clocks if you haven’t done so already.

This upcoming week is a short one for BxSci students. Tuesday is Election Day, so students are off from school. On Thursday, after-school activities are cancelled so that teachers can prepare for that evening’s parent-teacher conferences, which will begin at 5:30pm and end at 8pm. (Vallo is offering free bus service for parents from Queens and Manhattan on Thursday; click here for more info.) On Friday, students will be dismissed at 11:30am, and parent-teacher conferences will be from 12:30-2:30pm.

When you come to school to meet your child’s teachers on either Thursday or Friday, don’t forget to bring your unwanted test-prep books! You can drop them off in the “Book Swap” boxes in the school lobby. Then come back to school on Monday, Nov. 13, to pick up the test-prep books your child needs — and, of course, to attend the Resource Fair for Parents and to hear valuable parenting insights from psychotherapist Sean Grover.

See you in the Bronx this week!
