Would you like to be part of the decision-making process at our school? If so, become a parent leader! We are now taking nominations for the open positions on the PA Executive Board and the School Leadership Team (SLT). These roles are open only to parents of 9th graders. Per our bylaws, nominations will be accepted until the end of the PA meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26, and elections will be held at the following PA meeting on October 18. PA Executive Board Member-at-Large (3 open positions): As a member-at-large, you will be expected to attend the Executive Board’s monthly meetings, which are at 6-7pm immediately preceding the general PA meetings. You may also be asked to chair one or more special committees and/or oversee one or more PA events.
SLT Member (1 open position): As a parent member of the SLT, you will be expected to attend monthly SLT meetings, usually scheduled for 3:45-6pm on weekdays. The fundamental purpose of the SLT is to determine the school’s educational direction. The SLT includes 5 other BxSci parents, Principal Donahue, elected faculty members, and 2 elected students.
