The Parents’ Association pays for the annual subscription to Turnitin.com, a web-based platform used by teachers to encourage originality in all major writing assignments. Turnitin’s massive database contains more than 24 billion web pages, 300 million student papers, and millions of articles and essays. When students upload their assignments to Turnitin, teachers can be assured that students are presenting original work with proper citations, preserving academic integrity that is a hallmark of Bronx Science. It also allows for online corrections, feedback, and pre-set or custom grading rubrics. With Turnitin as their partner, teachers can focus on developing critical thinking, writing and analyzing skills rather than spending time checking for authenticity. Without your generous support, it would not be possible for the school to fund Turnitin. Thank you!
