Dear Bronx Science families,
The 2014-15 School clock continues to wind down with a swirl of activity last week. Senior Awards, Sports Awards, and the Speech and Debate Convocation Dinner, all wrapped around the Spring Concert!! It was a week to truly celebrate our children for their many wonderful accomplishments. The PA wants to thank any and all parents who helped contribute to these special events.
At last Wednesday’s PA meeting, PA members thanked the 2014-15 Board for their service, especially Patrick Gibbons and Shanti Knock, our two tireless Co-Presidents. Additionally, the PA thanked our “graduating” PA officers Claire Bienen, Shanti Knock, Liza Lagunoff, Marcia Mason and Glen Price, who have given endless hours of their time over the years to serve the Bronx Science community. You will all be greatly missed!
The PA membership held elections and voted in the 2015-16 PA Executive Board as follows:
- Co-Presidents: Ellen Dubin & Elizabeth Newberry
- First Vice-President: Amy Davidson
- Second Vice-President: Anna Schuchmann
- Treasurer: Heidi Moustakos
- Asst. Treasurer: Sudeep Kundu
- Co-Recording Secretaries: Gordon Bakoulis, Ingrid Devita and Elizabeth Langwith
- Communications Secretary: Heather Gibble
- Members-at-large: LiXu Chen, Aley Fatma,Pam Godwin, Weimin Huang, Moses Reyes
In addition, parents elected to the SLT for two-year terms were Phil Burnett, Patrick Gibbons, and Barbara Reiser.
Speaking of the SLT, the last SLT meeting of the school year is Tuesday, June 16th at 4 pm in Principal Donahue’s office. Parents and caregivers, as well as next year’s SLT reps, are invited to attend as observers. Regents weeks ahead!
