Dear Bronx Science families,
The first full week of classes and activities is over and our kids are totally in the swing of the new school year. Old friendships have been renewed and new ones are taking shape. The joy of learning and the pursuit of knowledge are in full bloom. As noted in the box below, our first PA meeting is this coming Tuesday. Please join us and help support our kids, while gathering valuable information for the school year to come. Make your Vallo bus reservations as soon as possible.
The first Safety Committee meeting was held this past week. In the absence of a permanent rep, Co-President Shanti Knock attended on behalf of parents. The committee meets once a month, during the school day, and reviews and monitors the safety procedures in place at Bronx Science. We are looking for a parent volunteer to join the committee, starting with the October meeting. Please contact volunteer@bxsciencepa.org if you would like to help.
Today, the Bronx Science College Office and Bronx Science Endowment Fund presented the 1st annual Project Accepted for seniors. Seniors had a chance to meet with Bronx Science alumni and discuss topics such as college interview skills, and making yourself stand out among many. Special thanks to Eleanor Coufus for organizing this great event.
