February 8, 2015
Dear Bronx Science Families,
Well, midyear exams are in the rear view mirror as our children have embarked on the 2nd term of the school year. With winter break less than a week away, I’m sure the anticipation of some much-deserved time off is at a high point.
But before we entertain visions of perhaps no snow and warmer temperatures, there are two very important events for parents this week. The first is the February PA meeting on Wednesday, February 11th. Please join us and members of the faculty for a thorough presentation on Course Selection for the 2015-16 school year, as well as talks from alumni parents on their experiences sending their children off to college this past September. You won’t want to miss it!
The second is Winter College Night, sponsored by the Guidance Dept., on Thursday in the auditorium from 7pm to 9pm. There will be a panel discussion from 7-8:30pm and brief breakout presentations with the individual college representatives from 8:30-9pm. There will be Admissions Directors from Yale, Bucknell, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Chicago. A wide range of topics on the college admissions process will be discussed. All sophomore and junior parents and students are invited to attend. Free Vallo bus transportation will be provided so make sure to reserve your spot by Wednesday.
We look forward to seeing you all this Wednesday (and Thursday)! We hope that everyone enjoys their winter break. The next PA EBlast will be on Sunday, February 22nd.
