Bronx High School of Science Parents' Assocation

News from our Co-Presidents: September 27, 2020

We did it!

With support from the PA, our incredible administration, faculty and staff delivered a first week of remote instruction befitting an educational powerhouse. We should all be proud of the way we came together as a school community, anticipated and worked through the challenges, and in many respects, made a monumental task look easy.

We know you are eager to hear who the new principal will be. So are we! The first phase of the hiring process, during which a number of qualified candidates were interviewed by a panel including parents, students, teachers and staff, took place virtually on September 10th. We have been assured that the DOE is moving the process along as fast as possible.

Next up … blended instruction. For those of you who will be dropping off or sending your blended learners to school starting this week, please stop by the Parents’ Association welcome table near the front entrance. Parent volunteers will be handing out free Bronx Science masks to all students compliments of sophomore Calvin Chan. Thank you Calvin!

Keep up the good work. Go Wolverines!
