Teens and Substance Abuse
Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,
The PA invites you to a special presentation on the topic of teens and substance abuse tomorrow, Thursday, May 23 at 7 PM, on Zoom, with guest speaker Dr. Linda Richter and moderated by Assistant Principal Andrew Nasser.
Dr. Richter is the Senior VP of Prevention Research and Analysis for the Partnership to End Addiction. Her presentations touch upon which substances appeal to teens and why, which teens are at the most risk, how teen brain development factors into drug use and how to develop a healthy approach to this subject when speaking to teens to make prevention more effective.
