Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,
In the coming few weeks, there are several events which give us an opportunity to gather, to learn and to strengthen our community.
The main event this week is our in-person PA meeting on Wednesday, January 17. The PA welcomes AP Andrew Nasser and an esteemed panel of mental health professionals to discuss “Teens and Mental Health.” This subject is always relevant, and we are fortunate that our administration consistently addresses such important topics, and a community of experts are willing to share their knowledge and time with us. Please find panelists’ bios posted here.
We rely on your participation in these forums and encourage you to join us that evening for an engaging discussion. The PA will provide food at 6:30 PM, followed by PA business at 7 PM, and the special presentation to immediately follow. Please RSVP here for our food headcount and a chance to submit your questions ahead of the meeting.

An important reminder that Superintendent Fia Davis will hold a remote Parent Town Hall on Thursday, January 18, at 6 PM. Bronx Science’s presence is noted and appreciated by our leaders, and as we continue to strengthen our relationship with our district, we need your support. Last spring, we had a record-breaking forty BxSci parents and guardians attend the town hall. Please tune in to help us exceed this turnout, and to learn what is happening in our district! Also, mark your calendars for the next Coffee with the Principal on Monday, January 22, at 8:30 AM, which will focus on course selection, and an opportunity to visit the BxSci planetarium afterward! Please RSVP here by Thursday, January 18, at 9 AM.
Finally, we still have several volunteer roles to fill, the Spring Gala is only three months away, and the Annual Appeal campaign is still underway. Check out the posts below for more information on all these needs. Your involvement and support are the foundation of our vibrant community.
During this long weekend, we reflect on the life, impact and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We hope our community takes a moment to reflect this weekend, and we look forward to seeing you in person on Wednesday.
