Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you had a great break and were able to recharge and reset for the coming months. The PA is looking forward to great things in 2024!
We kick things off this month with our upcoming meeting on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at 7:00 PM, featuring a panel of outside mental health professionals moderated by AP of Pupil Personnel Services, Andrew Nasser, who will be discussing Teens and Mental Health. We look forward to sharing their bios in next week’s newsletter. The meeting agenda can be found here. We will be voting on our December minutes, which can be found here.
This will be an in-person only meeting. We will be providing food beginning at 6:30, and ask that you RSVP here. We also invite you to submit questions for our panelists at the same link so that we can have a lively and informative discussion that is relevant to you and your family’s needs. If you are interested in volunteering to set up food beginning at 5:45 or cleaning up, please check the box on the RSVP form.
We do believe that access is important, and we are continuing to build our technical team so that we can sustain a hybrid option for certain meetings. We are still actively seeking at least 2 more volunteers for our tech team so that we can alternate between team members for PA meetings. Click here to learn more about this role.
Then, on January 18, please join us remotely for Superintendent Fia Davis’s Town Hall, rescheduled from December. Please see the post below for more details. Our presence and engagement at these town halls is noticed and appreciated, and it is vital that we demonstrate our engagement with our city and borough.
We wish you a prosperous beginning to 2024, and we look forward to seeing you on January 17.
