We are pleased to announce the remaining PA meetings for the 2022-23 school year with tentative topics below. Meetings will begin at 7:00PM and in-person meetings will have a remote option.
October– PA and SLT elections (virtual only). Registration will be required for this meeting. Following the election, AP Andrew Nasser will join us to discuss the key topics on students’ minds this school year.
November– A panel of outside professionals will discuss how to help you and your child address concerns they may have this school year. Moderated by AP Andrew Nasser.
December– An in-person PA Meeting and Holiday Bronx Science Alumni Foundation Vice President Eleanor Coufos (Class of ’99) will join celebration! us to share her wealth of knowledge, including exciting Alumni Foundation-driven Bronx Science developments, and tips for how our kids can make the most of their summers.
January– TBD
February– Course Selection (grades 9 through 11). Hear from AP Allison Davis about how to construct a 4-year course plan. Plus, for senior families, Things I Wish I Knew Before My Kid Went to College. Parents/guardians of recent graduates will share their experiences.
March– How to Have Difficult Conversations with Teens: Hear from a panel of experts – our students – regarding communicating with your teen. Moderated by Assistant Principal Andrew Nasser.
April– What You Should Know About College Admissions. Adam Ingersoll of Compass Education will present the latest information about college admissions in a rapidly changing environment.
May– PA and SLT Elections, plus State of the School Report. Hear a presentation from Principal Rachel Hoyle and AP Andrew Nasser. This meeting and election is virtual only and registration will be required.
June– The Real College Students of Bronx Science. A panel of recent graduates shares their experiences in college, and how Bronx Science prepared them for higher education and what surprised them most about post-high school life.
