Please mark your calendars. The next PA meeting will be IN PERSON on Thursday, April 28th at 7:00pm. Topic: Meet the Teachers! We have all had the opportunity to meet our students’ teachers during PT conferences. But oftentimes, those conversations are short and are centered around our own student’s performance. At this meeting, a panel of teachers will field questions submitted in advance and from the floor for an open discussion about this “new normal” year. We expect the event to be moderated by an administration superstar to be named later. We encourage parents to submit questions in advance here.
Again, this meeting will be held IN PERSON in the school auditorium with a livestream. According to current protocols, parents and guardians wishing to attend must show proof of vaccination and present a same-day health screening form (on their devices). Light snacks and refreshments will be served prior to the meeting. Stay tuned for more details.
Please note the request to respond to the NYC DOE School Survey, below. Administration has shared with us that parent response is extremely low; let’s turn that around. Your input is critical.
We want to offer a special thank you to parent volunteers Rhonda Sidial, Lilach Bar and Kam Chan for helping put together the National Honor Society Induction Dinner for NHS seniors last week. Congratulations to all NHS seniors and their families.
Next, congratulations to Skyler Chin and the cast and crew of the student production of Illegal which debuted in the school auditorium last Friday. Bravo!
Finally, congratulations to Megan Sharma for a stunning come-from-behind victory in our BxSci PA ’22 NCAA basketball tournament bracket by correctly picking Kansas to win it all. Megan, step right up to collect some BxSci swag.
There will be no e-newsletter next week. We will be back in your inbox on Sunday, April 24th with final meeting details. Until then, have a great Spring break.
Illegal, a timely new musical by student Skyler Chin.
