Dear Bronx Science parents,
This past week was a whirlwind of activity at school. Enormous thanks to all the parents who helped make our June events so special! Alumni Day, the Senior Awards Reception, the Spring Open House, and the Incoming Parents’ Breakfast were all fantastic, thanks to the efforts of parent volunteers.
We’ve got one more event to invite you to, and this is one that your BxSci kids will want to attend as well: it’s a panel discussion titled, “What’s College Really Like?” The panelists will be students from BxSci Class of 2017, and they’ll answer all your questions about dorm life, roommates, academics, communicating with parents (or not), drugs and alcohol, laundry, professors, and more! The colleges represented on the panel will be a mix of public and private, large and small, in-state and out-of-state, and rural and urban.
So, bring your high schoolers to our last PA meeting of the year: Wednesday, June 13, at 7pm. As always, Vallo will kindly provide free round-trip bus service from Manhattan and Queens. Call 1-718-961-7600 by Tuesday at noon to reserve your bus seat.
See you (and your teens) on Wednesday night!
