April 15, 2018
Dear Bronx Science parents,
Hope you all had a wonderful spring break! The week after spring break was a busy one, with the PA hosting events in both Manhattan and Queens. The feedback we’ve received about those events has been fantastic, and we’re thrilled that many of you were able to attend. Enormous thanks to PA board members Rebecca Barreras, Lisa Brody, and Jodi Caplan for chairing our two offsite April events.
We’ll be back in the Bronx this coming week, and we trust you’ve already made plans to be at school this Tuesday at 7pm. The topic of our PA meeting will be “College Scholarship and Financial Aid Secrets.” All BxSci parents who want to pay less for their child’s college education will benefit from this meeting. If your child is a freshman, sophomore, or junior, learn what steps you can take now to maximize your family’s eligibility for grants and scholarships. If your child is a senior, learn how to negotiate with colleges for larger aid packages. (One thing you’ll learn on Tuesday is that a college’s “final offer” usually isn’t final!)
Our guest speaker Andy Lockwood has helped many families reduce their college expenses. Don’t miss this meeting! Once again, Vallo is kindly providing free round-trip bus service from Manhattan and Queens. Reserve your bus seat by calling 1-718-961-7600 by noon the day before the meeting.
See you Tuesday!
