Dear Bronx Science parents,
Just four more school days before spring break! These past few weeks have been very busy ones for our school community, and it’s been terrific to see so many parents involved in the various activities happening in and around school. We were especially happy to have a packed house at our March PA meeting (see photo), during which we heard some excellent parenting insights from a panel of experts and BxSci’s own Mr. Nasser.
You’ll want to mark your calendar for our next PA meeting. The topic will be “College Scholarship and Financial Aid Secrets,” and it will be relevant to all BxSci parents, whether your child is a freshman who isn’t even thinking about college yet, or a senior who is weighing several financial-aid offers. College consultant Andy Lockwood will advise parents on how to prepare your finances so you can get the maximum aid possible, how to negotiate with a college for a larger aid package, strategies to help your child qualify for grants and scholarships, and more. Don’t miss this meeting! It will be on Tuesday, April 17, at 7pm in the school auditorium.
One follow-up to last week’s eblast: The crosswalk in front of the school has been repainted! Thanks to all of you who filed a request with 311. It worked!
There will be no Sunday e-blast for the next two weeks; we’ll be back in your inbox in mid-April. Have a wonderful spring break!
