Dear Bronx Science parents,
It’s time to meet your child’s teachers again! When you come to school for parent-teacher conferences on Thursday or Friday, bring unwanted test-prep books and drop them off at the school lobby; there will be a box labeled “Book Swap.” Then, come back to school on Thursday evening, March 15, for the PA meeting and Book Swap!
Whether or not you’re interested in test-prep books, you WILL be interested in the content of our March 15 meeting. The topic is “Dealing with Teen Issues,” and a panel of experts will talk about technology/gaming, sleep, substance abuse, and parent-child communication. The discussion will be moderated by the head of the BxSci Guidance/College Office, Mr. Andrew Nasser. Perhaps more than anybody else, Mr. Nasser is deeply familiar with the issues and challenges that affect BxSci students on a daily basis.
There’s a lot going on this month. We hope to see you in Manhattan at the Gotham Comedy Club this Tuesday night, and then in the Bronx later this week for parent-teacher conferences!
