The Student Organization (BxSci’s student government) has begun its annual campaign to help the nearly 1.3 million New Yorkers who struggle to put food on their tables. The City Harvest Can & Food Drive is a schoolwide campaign to have every BxSci student donate at least one can of food. The Food Drive will run through December 20th. Please remind your child to bring canned goods or boxes of non-perishable food to school, and drop them off at the security desk in the main lobby.
Most needed foods include canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter in plastic jars, pre-packaged macaroni & cheese, packaged hot or cold cereal, soups, and juice packs. If the S.O. reaches its goal of 3,000 cans, January 5th will be declared a schoolwide no-homework day!
