The weather didn’t keep our intrepid Bronx Science families away last Wednesday. Thanks to all of you who came to school through rain, wind and monsoon-like weather. The presentations were certainly worth the trip. Thank you to Assistant Principals Andrew Nasser and Allison Wheeler for staying late to walk our 9th grade through 11th grade parents through the course selection process. A very special thank you to our panel of alumni parents Phoebe Cooper, Elizabeth Kaplan, Shanti Knock, Henny Lim and Tom Maeglin who came back to share transition-to-college tips with our 12th grade parents. Your personal stories and experiences were reassuring, fun and emotional. Thank you so much for taking the time to be with us!
Perhaps the most exciting news that came from last week’s meeting is that we as a parent body are going to be able to make a big impact on the lives of our students very soon. We voted to approve spending roughly $200,000 from an existing surplus from prior years to fund technology improvements in the school. See below for more details.
