Get involved and get to know more about the school where your child will spend four pivotal years of their academic career. Nominate yourself or someone you know for one of three important leadership positions for parents. You can nominate from the floor at the September 17th PA meeting, OR, notify us by e-mail before then at president@bxsciencepa.org, if you are unable to attend.
The positions:
Two SLT Members – There is an open position for a freshman parent, and another for a parent of a sophomore, junior or senior. The mission of the SLT is to develop the Comprehensive Education Plan for Bronx Science. The SLT is made up of parents, faculty, administration and students, and meets monthly at the school, from 4 pm to 6 pm in Dr. Donahue’s office.
One Freshman Parent General Member of the PA Executive Board – Every spring we hold one spot available on the PA Board to be filled in the fall by a freshman parent. The PA Executive Board meets one hour before all PA meetings (from 6 pm to 7 pm) at the school.
Elections will be held at the October PA meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, October 26th at 7:00 p.m..
