Dear Bronx Science Parents:
I am writing to you today to see if you may be able to volunteer some time to help the school with its Inaugural Hackathon – AtomHacks! More than 200 students have signed up to attend the all-day event to take place at the school from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 (The kids also have workshops Friday, May 29 after school, but parents are not needed for this portion of the event). We need parental help! If you can spare any time, please sign up.

We also need a few volunteers to help out with the following two upcoming events – the Spring Open House for 7th graders and their families and Freshman Orientation. At the Open House, parents show prospective students and their families what our school is all about! Parents will greet guests, hand out flyers and direct people through the hallways. If you can spare a couple hours, it would be very much appreciated.

In addition, we need just a few parents to help out June 4 in the early morning. Incoming freshmen and their parents will be coming to the school for Orientation. If morning assignments are better for you, please volunteer.
