Dear Bronx Science Families,
Happy Columbus Day weekend to all. I’m sure our children will enjoy a Monday with no school, a chance to recharge their batteries as they head into a busy time.
The last half of October features many great events for us as parents. Our October PA meeting on the 21st will feature a talk by Kal Chany on College Financing and Financial Aid. Anyone who has heard Kal speak knows how informative the presentation is. There will be plenty of time for questions also. Don’t miss it! Also, we’ll elect our Freshman SLT and PA representatives at the meeting. The night after, the 22nd, Bronx Science has its Open House for prospective students. Please volunteer if you have the time. It is a great opportunity to help 8th grade parents learn about the wonderful educational environment their children would enjoy at Bronx Science. You’ll find the links to volunteer below, as well as for the High School Borough Fair this upcoming weekend.
Parent/Teacher conferences are right around the corner on October 29th and 30th. Vallo Transportation provides free bus service for the evening session. Check the updated schedule on our Transportation page.
Thank you to all who have already donated to the PA. Our goal is 100% participation. We’re well on our way but avoid that November phone call and donate now.
