October 5th, 2014
Dear Bronx Science Families,
Autumn has arrived and October will be full of interesting and exciting events at Bronx Science. As parents, we are truly blessed to have our children attending such a vibrant institution.
Our first “Breakfast with the Principal” took place last Tuesday. It was a very informative hour, led by our Guidance Department after remarks by Dr. Donahue. Over 90 parents signed up and it literally was standing room only! These get-togethers offer parents a great opportunity to both learn what’s going on with their children at school, but also to get their questions answered in a smaller setting. Please keep attending and encourage other parents or guardians to do the same. Check the Bronx Science website for futures dates.
Looking ahead, we have two upcoming events where many volunteers are needed. See Upcoming October Events for more information.
Don’t forget the next PA meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 7pm in the auditorium. We’ll be electing Freshman SLT and PA reps. More to follow next week on the balance of the program.
Thank you to all who have already donated to the PA. Our goal is 100% participation. We’re well on our way but avoid that November phone call and donate now.
