Two big events at the school last week were made possible by the many wonderful parent volunteers who signed up to help. At the Spring Open House for 7th graders and their families, the energy was high and we saw a lot of smiling faces. Our parents made a great impression on these families who are just beginning their high school search process.

And, a huge thank you to the many volunteers who helped out on Thursday morning at the Incoming Freshman Parent Meet and Greet! We welcomed our incoming parents with a breakfast and warm greetings from our volunteers who generously offered their learned insights. The event was a true “feel good” moment – which guests and PA members alike seemed to love. Visitors were delighted to meet current parents in the school, and it was nice for all of us to share our experiences with them and to be reminded of how we felt when we were in their position. Right after the event, we received the following e-mail from a kind incoming parent,
“I just wanted to thank everyone who volunteered this morning to welcome the new parents. The breakfast was nice and we were happy to get the opportunity to shop for some cool Bx Sci swag. The best part for us was hearing each of you speak about your children’s experiences”
