Attention New Bronx Science Parents!
Take a leadership role in helping our school community be the best it can be by running for a leadership position. There are open positions available for 9th grade and new incoming 10th grade parents/guardians.
You can nominate yourself, or someone else, for the PA Executive Board and School Leadership Team (SLT). These positions are now available:
One (1) Parent Representative on the SLT (for a parent/guardian of a 9th grader). The SLT plays an advisory role to the principal and to the school leadership. Team members share their ideas and concerns and listen to the ideas and concerns of others. SLT members develop the annual school Comprehensive Educational Plan and consults with parent representatives regarding federal reimbursable funding (e.g. Title I). Read more.
Three (3) Member-at-Large positions on the PA Executive Board (Open to 9th grade or new incoming 10th grade parents/guardians). Members-at-Large attend Parents’ Association meetings and functions and serve on special committees or projects. Read more.
If you would like to nominate yourself for one of these positions, please SUBMIT THIS FORM by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, Septembere 25.

The election will be held on October 17. There will be another election held for all positions in May 2025, which will be open to all Bronx Science parents/guardians.
Deadlines for PA Executive Board: Self-nominations for PA positions will close at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, Sept 25. If you are nominating someone else, the deadline is 11:59 PM on Tuesday, Sept 24. Bios for PA Executive Board positions are due at 11:59 PM on Friday, Sept 27 and will be translated and posted before the election.
Deadlines for SLT: While nominations for SLT will remain open until the October 17 election, and SLT nominations will also be taken from the floor during the election, if you wish to have a published, translated bio, you must nominate yourself or accept a nomination by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, Sept 25 and submit your bio by 11:59 PM on Friday, Sept 27.
