Nominating Committee
We hold two elections each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The Nominating Committee sponsors and runs the elections. We are seeking 2-3 members additional member to join Jodi Solomon and Ellie Buchalter. No prior experience is required! Email president@bxsciencepa.org.
Merchandise Committee
The Merchandise Committee is responsible for large sales several times a year, as well as for re-orders and liaising with our merchandise supplier. The PA needs to form a core team of 5-6 individuals who can rotate as event leads and help with ordering, inventory, etc. This role can be flexible! Hospitality Committee
This committee provides beautiful breakfast and lunch spreads for several events including teacher appreciation, senior awards, Alumni Day and more. This team is responsible for ordering food, light decorating, and coordinating delivery, set up, serving, and cleanup for parent-facing, student-facing, and staff-facing events. Flexible commitment with an in-person component. Events can take place mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends.
Hospitality Committee members are Fan Chen, Luisa LaFleur, Karah Rempe, Aixing Zhang, QiuYue Zheng. We are seeking an additional co-chair to rotate with Anne Tien in planning and leading events – please contact hospitality@bxsciencepa.org
Spring Gala Committee
If you have a background in event planning, enjoy throwing a party, or have a background in fundraising, we need you! We are looking for additional committee members to help plan our most highly anticipated event of the year. This role can be flexible! Please contact Chair Gabrielle Koelbel through this google form.
Webmaster Team
Our webmaster team maintains and updates the Bx Science PA website. This team works remotely to post items and information on our website. While technology experience is preferred it is not required. Team members are Liem Doung Thanh, Jeffrey Dowd, Molly Larrison, Bryan Liff, Kathy Sheehan, Julie Shum , Nancy Wang, and Monika Wunderer.They can be reached at webmaster@bxsciencepa.org.
Newsletter Team
Our weekly newsletter is a critical and valuable resource for our parents/guardians. The team operates remotely in concert with the co-presidents who author the newsletter. The team members work on layout, graphics, photos and videos for the newsletter. Seeking 1-2 members to join team to format weekly newsletters. Current Team members are Jamileh-Sofia dGuida and Jeffrey Dowd. They can be reached at newsletter@bxsciencepa.org.
Translation Teams
The translation team translates the newsletter and other documents into written Chinese. Translation into other languages could be possible only if we have volunteers. The PA is currently in the initial stages of forming additional teams for both written and spoken translation in several languages. If you are a fluent speaker and/or writer in Bengali, Spanish or Korean, and are interested in leading or serving on a team, please reach out to the PA Presidents at president@bxsciencepa.org. Yuki Chan is the head of the translation committee.
Technology Committee
Throughout the year, we hold monthly PA meetings which are either in person or fully remote. There is a technology component to each meeting as well as at certain events that we support. We would be grateful for any support, particularly from parents/guardians with a technology background although that is not required! Audit Committee
Paul Goldfarb chairs our annual audit. We do need alternate members will be asked to reserve the audit date to step in if needed, and will also be welcomed and encouraged to attend as audit observers. This is a three-hour commitment on an afternoon in early June to be determined by the committee. No finance or audit experience is necessary.

Senior Graduation Toolkit
Every year we post an assortment of designs to choose from to create special banners, signs, and other decorations to add flair to your celebrations.This handy toolkit is prepared by Alex Chirinian.
