News from Our Co-Presidents: April 30, 2023

Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents and Guardians,

It was a busy and exciting week, and things are moving at a fast pace at Bronx Science.

On Tuesday, the PA hosted the National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Dinner following the NHS award ceremony. We would like to congratulate all our senior recipients on this major accomplishment! Then on Wednesday, the PA hosted a dinner for more than 120 representatives from over 100 colleges and universities after the popular Bronx Science College Fair. These representatives were delighted to meet with our students and appreciated Bronx Science’s hospitality. The PA passes along the enthusiastic appreciation from Paul DeSilva, NHS Advisor, and Ellen Fischer and Darby McHugh, Co-Directors of the College Office, and from the entire school administration. We echo their appreciation and extend our thanks to them for the tremendous effort they put forth to help make Bronx Science so exceptional.

Our gratitude doesn’t end there, because the main forces behind the hospitality portion of both back-to-back events were our Hospitality Co-Chairs, Lilach Bar and Kosaku Shinoda. We highlight these hospitality efforts as they are a critical element to our gatherings and events, and to the relationships we build both inside and outside our community. Please see below for event pictures and the In The Spotlight post, which acknowledges all our parent and guardian volunteers at these two recent events.

Let’s now turn our attention towards the Spring Gala! Although the live event is on May 11, the online auction closes in just 5 days on Thursday, May 4! Show your support by bidding high and often on many great items. This could be your chance to score two (2) fantastic seats to the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour* at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, May 27.
