Dear Fellow Bronx Science Parents & Guardians,
Before discussing upcoming events and initiatives, let’s take a moment to appreciate that Bronx Science was recently named the #1 public high school in New York by Niche! This recognition is a testament to our outstanding faculty, teachers, students, and support we receive from The Bronx Science Alumni Foundation and we are proud to be a part of this wonderful community.
Thank you to the Alumni Foundation for all the hard work they are doing TODAY for our seniors at their annual Project Accepted event, and to all the parent and alumni volunteers who are participating in and supporting this event. We look forward to sharing photos next week with you all.
Donations
As you may know, a large number of our extracurricular programs are funded by the PA Annual Fund, which relies on the generosity of parents like you. The Annual Fund makes possible many programs, ranging from athletics to academic teams, from advisory staff for our over 90 clubs, to Naviance database tools helping students navigate the college process and more. Suffice to say, we need donations to fund programs integral to providing our students with a range of opportunities and tools to make their high school experience as rewarding and memorable as possible, so please consider giving what you can to the Annual Fund. No amount is too small. Donation slips will be sent in the mail this month, or you can visit this link to learn more about the Annual Fund and to donate now!
Looking for other ways to contribute? How about volunteering to serve on one of our many committees, such as the Spring Gala, or sign up to be a Hospitality Co-Chair? The PA relies on the enthusiastic involvement of our parent community, and we welcome your support. See the Volunteer post below for more information. We’d also like to thank those of you who have already volunteered. Your dedication, time and energy allows the PA to support our community, and your contributions are greatly appreciated.
Lastly, be sure to mark your calendars for our virtual Comedy Night on Thursday, October 27th with comedian and former Bronx Science parent Zarna Garg and friends! This will be an evening to unwind and laugh with the Bronx Science community while supporting our school. You won’t be disappointed! More information to follow.
