Dear Parents & Guardians:
We want to wish our blended learners a warm welcome back to school tomorrow, March 22nd. Please stop by the PA welcome table near the front entrance on Monday or Tuesday and pick up a free BxSci mask. For those of you whose students will be heading to school this week, please don’t forget to have your child bring a copy of their health screening. This resets daily and must be redone every day they go to school.

Before we head into Spring Break, we want to offer any in our community who didn’t get to attend our last meeting the opportunity to view the panel discussion on What the Pandemic Has Taught Us. Assistant Principal Andrew Nasser once again assembled a diverse panel of students, who moved us with their candor, sensitivity and thoughtfulness. A consistent theme that emerged was the critical importance of family in navigating the past year, as did a cautiously hopeful view of what the coming year holds. It appears the only thing our kids are looking forward to as much as being reunited with their friends and teachers is the fleet of food trucks outside their school. We look forward to this year’s final scheduled book club discussion on Wednesday, March 24th at 7pm, this time on BxSci grad Min Jin Lee’s Pachinko. We also hope to see even more of you on our Wellness Walks as the weather improves. These are all great opportunities to meet fellow parents and guardians. See details below.
Please mark your calendars. Our next PA meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 14th. The topic will be Paying for College. At this meeting we will also be closing nominations for Executive Board and School Leadership Team positions in advance of our May election. We encourage all parents who are interested to reach out to our nominations committee (see below).
We want to wish all of our families an enjoyable and relaxing Spring Break (March 27th through April 4th). See you again in April.
