The Parents’ Association invites Bronx Science families to join us for an evening with parent professionals in Pathophysiology, Epidemiology and Medicine as they talk about the science behind Covid-19. This symposium will be appropriate for parents and Bronx Science students of all grade levels, but will touch on advanced scientific concepts.

Featuring:
Nicholas Morrissey, M.D. Associate Professor of Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center and member of the National Physician Wellness Committee for the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Morrissey served as an ICU physician during the height of the pandemic.
Dale Nordenberg, M.D. co-founder and Executive Director for the Medical Device Innovation, Safety, and Security Consortium and Chief Information Officer and Associate Director for the National Center for Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where he served on the leadership team for the 2003 Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-1 global outbreak.
Raymond Yeh, Ph.D. Associate Research Scientist in the Laboratory of Personalized Genomic Medicine and in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University Medical Center where he was part of team that performed the first Covid-19 tests in New York City.
The symposium will be moderated by Dmitry Nemirovsky, M.D. a cardiac electrophysiologist who serves as the Director of Genetic Arrhythmia at Hackensack University Medical Center and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
