PA funding of critical school programs and resources plays a major role in making Bronx Science such a special school. Senior expenses is another way in which your donations make a huge difference for our students. Last year’s Senior Class Advisor Daniel McNickle put it this way:
“The Bronx Science PA is critical to funding senior activities, especially for seniors who come from lower income families. Since the City of New York doesn’t provide high schools with a budget for graduation, it falls to our families to pay senior dues to rent out a hall that can hold more than 700 graduating seniors and the relatives and friends who love and support them. Thanks to the generosity of the PA, we are able to offer fee waivers to families who could not otherwise afford to contribute to graduation.”
While we are encouraged by the support we have received so far from our membership, we still have a long way to go to meet our fundraising goals. Hitting those goals will be essential to continuing to provide the school with the funding it needs to deliver top-notch programming for our students.
