Who Does What?

Meet Weimin Huang. Weimin is a Riverdale mother of an 11th grade son, and a Vice President on our PA Board. Weimin has been an amazing force for the PA, and we think there is nothing she cannot do!! Most importantly, Weimin reaches out to our Chinese speaking parents who do not speak English. Each week, Weimin translates this E-Blast so that these parents are kept up to speed with information (click on the Chinese link in the upper right corner to see!) She also created and now manages a Bronx Science parents WeChat Group (an online group chat forum) for Bronx Science Chinese parents. Additionally, the Test Prep Book Swap that is happening at our January Meeting was Weimin’s idea. And, she also purchases, prepares and lays out all of the food for our PA Meetings along with fellow PA board member Paula Smeu (yes, we have Weimin and Paula to thank for the food we all enjoy at our meetings). We are incredibly grateful to Weimin for all of her great ideas and for everything she does. Thank you Weimin!
