Ms. Hoyle\, Ms. Vana Loukissas\, Director of Safety and Security\, and the School Safety Committee (which includes your parent representative) will facilitate an informative discussion.  \n\n\n\nYou can submit any questions you have for our Safety Committee in advance by clicking HERE.  The deadline to submit your questions is Tuesday\, October 14th at 9:00 AM.  We will answer your questions before the end of the meeting. \n\n\n\nAfter the presentation\, there will be an opportunity to walk with school staff to see first hand the routes students should be taking to the 4 and D trains.  \n\n\n\nIf you are able to attend\, please RSVP HERE by Tuesday\, October 14th at 9:00 AM.   \n\n\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you on October 16th.

DESCRIPTION:Fall College Night will take place on Thursday\, October 16\, at 6:30 pm in the Bronx Science auditorium. Sophomores\, Juniors\, and Seniors and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend! There will be plenty of time for Q&A. This event will not be recorded. \n\n\n\nThe evening will consist of a conversation with Nicole Molina of Vanderbilt University. \n\n\n\nMs. Molina has broad depth of enrollment management experience in higher education. She has served as a director in admissions at Vanderbilt University\, University of Southern California\, and Barnard College. Ms. Molina will speak about the following and the role each plays in the admissions process: \n\n\n\n\nAcademic Rigor\n\n\n\nStandardized Testing\n\n\n\nEssays\n\n\n\nLetters of Recommendation\n\n\n\nAssessing the value of Extra-Curricular Activities\n\n\n\nEarly Decision/Early Action\n\n\n\nWith so many similar highly qualified applicants what makes an applicant stand out from the crowd?\n\n\n\n\nPlease see your counselor if you have any questions.
