As we shared at our PA meeting this past week, the NYC Panel for Educational Policy (PEP) will be holding a Town Hall so that community members can share their views about approval of a contract with Pearson to administer the SHSAT digitally beginning next year. PEP will vote on the contract approval at its December 18, 2024, meeting.
Failure to approve this contract could impact the administration of the SHSAT and the formation of an entering freshman class at the Specialized High Schools (including Bronx Science) in the fall of 2026.
We will share the date, time and location of the Town Hall as soon as that information becomes available as well as information about a PEP meeting that was held this past Wednesday night. STAY TUNED!
